In this episode, we talk about the burning desire of the Associated Press to keep people from stealing their content, but we are not impressed with their efforts to stop thieves. Episode 13 - The Origin of the Name “standupkid”

July 5th, 2009 · No Comments

In this episode, we talk to Mark Joyella about the state of local newsrooms and the fear within them that has been caused by growing job cuts. Plus, Mark tells us where the name “standupkid” comes from in a podcast exclusive. (Don’t I sound like a sweeps promo now?)  Doug and I also discuss the idea of hubbing master control by city and not by company.  And what the heck is YouTube Journalism School?
